§ 04 · The science
Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the same building blocks that make up proteins. Because each peptide has a defined sequence and shape, it can bind to specific receptors, which makes peptides precise tools for studying cell signalling, tissue repair, metabolism and the nervous system in the lab.
Research peptides are supplied for in vitro laboratory study only. Their value depends on two things a lab can verify: identity (is it the right molecule?) and purity (how much of the sample is that molecule?).
§ 05 · Our quality standard
Purity is the share of a sample that is the intended peptide. We measure it by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), which separates the sample into its components and reports the main peak as a percentage of all detected material.
We only list lots that test at 99% or higher. Anything below that standard is not sold.
Every lot is tested by an independent, accredited laboratory before it is listed. HPLC measures purity and mass spectrometry confirms identity by matching the observed molecular mass to the expected value for that sequence.
The results are issued as a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis. The lot number on your vial always matches its report.
Our compounds are supplied lyophilized (freeze-dried) in sealed vials. Removing water slows the chemical reactions that break peptides down, so lyophilized material stays stable through domestic shipping and storage.
Shipping from within Canada keeps transit short and avoids parcels sitting in customs warehouses.
Store sealed vials frozen at about -20°C, away from light and moisture. Let a vial reach room temperature before opening it so condensation does not form on the powder, and aliquot material you will use over several sessions.
